The doors of the Pharmstandard Laboratory in KidZania are open to new researchers

17.10.2025

In September 2025, the location celebrated its first birthday.

The development of medicinal products is preceded by a long period of work. To give every curious child the chance to discover how medicines are created and which specialists are involved in their development and production, the “Pharmstandard Laboratory” opened its doors a year ago in the KidZania career-themed park. It’s a true gateway to the world of pharmaceuticals, where instead of toys, children are greeted by electronic microscopes and interactive mannequins.

More than 2,000 young researchers can visit the laboratory per month. Yulia Vevere, Head of Partner Relations Department at KidZania, noted that the new facility has already made it into the top 10 most popular activities at KidZania Park at Aviapark Mall.

At Pharmstandard Laboratory, young people have a unique opportunity to discover that the pharmaceutical industry is a truly exciting and incredible field. Here, young researchers try on the lab coats of pharmaceutical chemists and pharmacologists, gathering around microscopes to examine the intricate structures of various materials. Modern mannequins clearly demonstrate how medicines travel through the body. With a miniature glove box model, meticulously designed to mimic real pharmaceutical isolators down to the smallest detail, children can experience the atmosphere of an authentic production and laboratory environment.

Attending the laboratory’s first anniversary celebration were the winners of the “Pharmstandard Talents” competition — brilliant young individuals who have excelled at international, national, regional, and city-level research conferences and olympiads, as well as creative contests and sports competitions. These young talents were from Tomsk, Kemerovo, Ufa, Saratov, Kazan, Ulyanovsk, Vladimir Oblast, Moscow, Kursk, Astrakhan, and Kaliningrad.

The celebration was full of surprises: guests at KidZania were treated to an exciting quiz, a vibrant musical performance by the Chudaki Theatre, lively mimes, an impressive drumline show, and a shower of confetti.

The real magic, of course, was unfolding inside the laboratory — reflected in the eyes of the children, who embarked on their journey into the world of research and experimentation, discovering the world of pharmaceuticals with Pharmstandard.
