Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology and Pharmstandard Open a New Chapter of Partnership: Joint Laboratories, Internships and Support of Talents

The strategic cooperation agreement is designed to strengthen talent development for the pharmaceutical industry and drive innovative research and development.

On 23 January 2026, on the eve of Russian Students’ Day, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed within the walls of the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology with Pharmstandard, one of the leaders of the domestic pharmaceutical industry.

This document establishes the legal framework for comprehensive cooperation in the fields of science, education, and innovation.

The signing ceremony was attended by Rector of the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology Sergey Nikolaevich Filatov, Director of Human Resources of the Operational Unit at JSC Pharmstandard Maria Yurievna Voronina, Director of Drug  Development of LLC Pharmcompany, Anton Pavlovich Lastovoy, and Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologies and Biomedical Products Roman Vladimirovich Yakushin.

The new partnership aims to create an effective university-industry system. Under the agreement, the parties have committed to developing cooperation in key areas: 

 

“For over 25 years, the departments within the Faculty of Chemical-Pharmaceutical Technologies and Biomedical Products have been training specialists for the domestic pharmaceutical industry. This is a logical and important step for University in strengthening the ties with key industrial partners,” noted Sergey Filatov, the university’s Rector. “Our students and researchers will gain access to modern production and research challenges, while the industry will benefit from fresh ideas and well-trained specialists ready for careers in high-tech company.” 

“Pharmstandard is interested in attracting young, ambitious, and well-trained professionals,” Maria Voronina emphasised. “The signing of this agreement is not a mere formality, but the launch of concrete projects.” We are opening our doors to students, making our expertise and production capabilities available to them, so that together we can build the future of Russian pharmaceuticals.”

The agreement is concluded on a long-term basis. Specific joint projects will be implemented within the framework of separate agreements. The collaboration between University and Pharmstandard aims to strengthen the industry’s human capital and scientific capacity, aligning with the strategic goals for the development of the Russian economy.
