Industrial Park for Small and Medium Enterprises will be established  in Kursk Region

14 entities have applied for resident status, total investment will amount to about 200 mln roubles. An industrial park for small and medium enterprises will be set up in the Kursk Region, the Kursk Region Governor Alexander Mikhailov told TASS in an interview on the side-lines of the investment forum in Sochi.

“The industrial park has been established on the territory of the Kursk Region where 103 ha was allocated to that purpose. We developed  all  necessary infrastructure and made  all required   paperwork”, Mikhailov said.

14 entities have already filed applications for resident status in the park. According to the regional Governor, all of them will engage in manufacturing a broad range of products. Total investment by the residents will amount to about 200 mln. roubles.

Industrial  Growth

Over the last 10 years, industrial growth  in the Kursk Region has accounted  as much as  3-5% per year.

“In general as for manufacturing, we have registered no decline in output over the last 10 years. Production grew 3-5% every year, inspite  of the general turbulence in the national economy and the impact of sanctions. This is hands-on management at work”, Mikhailov said.

According to the Governor, over the last 10 years, the region managed to launch 25 new enterprises, including 22 food and pharmaceutical enterprises, and 3 processing enterprises.

Pharmstandard-Leksredstva manufacturing facilities

The overall production  of Pharmstandard-Leksredstva manufacturing site  accounted for 21 bln. roubles in the year 2016. “Our region’s leader in output is Mikhailovsky GOK, Kursk Nuclear Power Plant comes second. Pharmstandard-Leksredstva managed to secure the third place with the total output of 21 bln. roubles last year. The company manufactured about 60 import-substituting pharmaceutical products  over the last 5 years”, Mikhailov mentioned.

In 2015, the company also was third in total output amounting to 17 bln. roubles. Therefore, the level of production growth accounted for about 25% year-on-year. In 2016, the plant invested 1.3 bln. roubles in production site , thus enabling the company to raise capacity up to 400 mln.  packs of pharmaceutical products  per year.
