The modern national pharma is a dynamically developing industry striving to be at the forefront of science and innovations. An inflow of new ideas, energy and trained professionals into this hi-tech sphere is important, especially today. That is why most pharmaceutical manufacturers seeing potential in the youth count on them more and more often.

Following industry experts, support to and development of young talents is not just an input to a company’s future, but also a serious contribution to the national health. Nevertheless, staff shortage, as well as a notable competency gap between the current educational level of graduates and the one expected by employers – pharmaceutical manufacturers have been a key problem for now.
Considering urgent challenges, the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices (UAGP) gambles on the International Student Festival GxP-Fest. For five years, the event has united industry-specific students from the EAEU and friendly countries, pharmaceutical companies and the expert community to identify the best talents and to form a professional personnel reserve capable of coping with breakthrough tasks of pharmaceutical industry development.
GxP-Fest facilitates attracting graduates to the developing industry, informing of corporate requirements to the young specialist’s competencies, advanced training of the faculty and strengthens their motivation to optimize the educational process in view of the contemporary pharmaceutical production needs. The contest programme final of the anniversary GxP-Fest and a number of business and training activities involving representatives from the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade, the RF Ministry of Education and Science, top managers from Russian and foreign pharma corporations and industry associations took place in Moscow on April 18.
According to the organizers, this year the event gathered a record number of participants: over 2.5 thou. students (both offline and online), 166 teams, 98 higher educational institutions from nine countries, 18 industry partners, and 50+ pharmaceutical company employees.
Leading experts and partners of the festival shared their impressions and highlighted the importance of this unique social project of the industry.
Mutual interest
‘Pharmstandard pays considerable attention to attracting and supporting young specialists, and GxP-Fest is the peak of these efforts,’ commented Dmitry Zaitsev, General Director of Pharmstandard JSC. ‘Here we meet motivated students willing to work at pharmaceutical enterprises. Their interest and active life stance intrinsic to the participants and winners make GxP-Fest a major platform for searching for potential employees. Participation in this huge event represents our input to the pharmaceutical industry future, our opportunity to attract talented youth’. The expert also noted that the Company had always been interested in young, promising professionals and wished to be an attractive employer. ‘We hope for the mutual interest and successful cooperation with the new generation of professionals,’ stressed Dmitry Zaitsev. ‘Pharmstandard, in its traditional role of the festival partner, actively participates in a vacancy fair and arranges for masterclasses on drawing an efficient resume. Surely, many students will use this chance, and we are looking forward to their CVs. Awarded with the prestigious Employer of the Future 2025 prize this year, we will certainly find our future team members among these applicants.’
